Catch up post!

 Catching up on the last few days...
It has been so fast-paced and go, go, go here!
The heat has also meant everyone is absolutely spent by the end of the day.
So....
I haven't had a chance to sit down & blog...until now! (Sitting waiting to pick up Joshy from Prep in the lovely shade)

SO MUCH has been achieved! I'll step you through it 😊

Firstly, bearers went up on the adjustable posts.

Mum did lots of painting, dressing the timber underneath the extension & the deck 😎

Builder Dan 🛠 & Dad ☝ So thankful to have Dan here with all his help & expertise!👍

All the joists & flooring were next...

Then, today, the wall frames started going up! This is the part I love, because it all starts taking shape & I am a very visual person 😁

Meanwhile inside...I cleared out our bedroom...ready for the exterior wall to go! We'll be making the living area our bedroom too for the duration of this stage of the reno. Fun times! 

Can't wait to have a new bedroom with WIR & ensuite!! How blessed! 🙏 but also very happy to wait for such an amazing outcome 😊

And down came our wall... 💪😅

Welcome to 2017 at the Barnes residence.
Here is our humble abode.  Street scape has a new fence, thanks to a weekend's work with my talented husband & his dad.
To the left of the house is where we are working on extending this year.

Day 1 & 2 - footings & piers.

The boys set up a little 'viewing area' to watch the action.

Finishing off around all the posts, levelling, laser, it was all precision work. 39 posts in total - phew! A couple of hot days work. 

Starting to visualise the size of the area we are adding now though! It's all exciting stuff 😊

Day 54

Today the shed contents were moved from our rental to the new business location...AAA shed @ Bedwell St, Cranley 😊

So nice to see a vehicle drive in and be able to load up inside the shed. Pretty surreal actually.

Gives an idea of the size when you see some trucks parked either side. We had a bbq tonight with all the staff /tradies working on the house to say thanks for all their help & celebrate the move 😊

On the house side...

 Floating timber floor? Check.

 Side wall cladding? Check.

 View from the back door of the house, down to the shed and on the grass Mum's tressles set up for painting all the skirting & architraves.

 Back french door installed? Check.

 Looks quite surreal to see the back wall get filled in too 😊

 Back wall cladding? Check. (don't have a picture of it finished yet, it was dark when they were done! They're such troopers!)

Kitchen installation will be completed on Sunday. But tomorrow sees all the furniture arriving..and our first sleep in the new house!! 😀😁😃
